Artsy Projects: Concrete Storm, Mixed Reality Environment by Studio Drift “Concrete Storm—synthesizing art, technology, and nature—is the first mixed reality project by Studio Drift, the Dutch collective of Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordjin. On first impression, visitors experience solid forms, which draw on minimalist motifs and underscore the stable properties of concrete. With Microsoft HoloLens, viewers enter a mixed reality, enlivened by responsive holograms that augment the installation’s physical environment. The artists explore the layer between the parallel worlds, where reality and virtual worlds co-exist.”
