Small Cat Series
The Small Cat Series portrays the life of outdoor and indoor cats alike. They bring to mind such creature comforts as sitting in the sunlight and taking a nap in warm and cozy spaces. Our adoration of these feline companions allows us to appreciate the parts of ourselves that are otherwise so hard to accept. Sharing a space with a human who sulks and has no respect for personal space would be almost unlivable, whereas we laugh and sometimes even delight in these actions of our cats. They put up with us no matter what, and we take comfort in their company and are astounded by their peculiar nature. We can take their self-assuredness as inspiration, as summed up by this popular joke:
“A dog says, ‘You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, you love me, you must be God.’
A cat says, ‘You pet me, you feed me, you shelter me, you love me, I must be God.’”
